Meadowhall Blogger Style School

This week I was very lucky enough to be invested to the Meadowhall Blogger Style School and a tour of some of the many beauty sellers that Meadowhall has to offer by the lovely Bethanie Lunn. I was joined by fellow bloggers, Claire, Rose, Charlotte, Kate and Nicky who are such a lovely bunch of ladies.

After meeting we headed off to Starbucks for a much needed caffeine injection, introduction and an explanation of what to expect of the day.

First stop was Boots No7. There we met Caroline Adams whose enthusiasm and love of the brand really shone through. We were given demonstrations on their new Spring range including the new lipstick range by Poppy King who is apparently a lipstick genius (Id love to meet her, how long Ive been searching for the perfect lipstick?)

I really enjoyed the demonstration by Caroline and her team, its definitely opened up my eyes the to No.7 range and everything they have on offer. We were also given a very generous goody bag. Ive been using the 2 step cleansing routine and love it so much already.

Rose in her element at Illamasqua!

Next up over to Debenhams and the Illamasqua Team. I'll be totally honest, Illamasqua is not a range I had previously heard of but I was totally blown away by the love Glen Carling and his team show for the brand. I love the loud, bright colours and the feeling they give you that yes make up is fun and you should play with your looks and experiment.

Rose is a massive Illamasqua class and Glen gave her a step by step guide to the ultimate smoky eye look, he done one eye while Rose done the other. It looked beautiful and really bought out her blue eye colour.

This is a brand I will be most certainly be trying again.

Next up on our world tour of Meadowhall it was over to House of Fraser and Bella Pierre Cosmetics. Here we met The very lovely Jane Gore and her team. Originated in America and had been over in England for about 6 years now they specialise in mineral make up. Ive used mineral make up in the past but had thought that it was just about foundations, how wrong was I?
The products are extremely versatile (you can make the eyeshadow in a nail varnish!!) It really opened up my eyes to mineral make up and I'll certainly be looking into it more, the coverage the foundation gave me was really good and lasted all day and night.

After a lovely lunch with everyone at The Handmade Burger Company it was time for the live challenge!
Each of us had to re create a look using the Bella Pierre products, our photos were then uploaded to the Meadowhall Facebook page for people to "like" our photos. The person with the most "likes" was then crowned Meadowhalls Top Blogger.

Me, Claire and Kate at the live challenge

Focus!

Sadly I didn't win ha! But the lovely Charlotte was crowned the winner and won a massive goodie bag for her and her readers.

It was such a good day, the girls are all so lovely and it was handy speaking to them and swapping hints and tips and it was just lovely to have something here up north!

I have many goodies for you all to give away which I'll do this week.
