Sunday Sheffield Nights

Last night me and my boyfriend had a bit of a date night, which was long over due!

We had a lovely meal at Cafe Rouge (I sit there and pretend I'm in Paris but don't tell anyone) and then we hopped, skipped and jumped down the The Bowery to see Howler. Who I absolutely loved and have become one of my firm favorites! I strongly suggest you check them out and go and see them while you can.

We'll Take Manhattan

I'm extremely excited to watch We'll take Manhattan tonight (BBC Four at 9pm) Showing the story of the relationship between the lovely Jean Shrimpton and photographer David Bailey.

I love the whole era this is set in and cant wait to see the amazing clothes that Karen Gillan will no doubt get to wear. I'm sure a lot of us will be donning our headscarf's, flicked eyeliner and shift dresses tomorrow after watching this!

All aboard Chanel Airlines

Chanel never fail to disappoint with their shows and today was certainly one of those occasions.

Karl Largerfeld built an Air Chanel jumbo jet to host this morning’s couture show – with its wider than average gangway for the models to walk down, its illuminated numbered seats and transparent roof to reveal faux clouds above. It was quite the incredible production, as only Karl can do – complete with Chanel trolley dollies.

With simple shapes but in ornate fabrics and dropped waists that we have seen a lot of recently its was all so beautiful as Chanel does best.

I love these 3 suits from ASOS, I want all 3 please?

How will I ever dare to breathe it

Shirt: Vintage, Skirt: Topshop, Shoes: New Look

I love this shirt, its came with a matching headscarf which together is very 70's housewife! I love when I find vintage pieces like this, I love clothes that have a proper history.

Well my not drinking in January has not worked out! I'm weak and have had a drink this weekend. Well I was celebrating and it was one of my best friends birthdays so that's my excuse.

Ive had a lovely weekend, apart from waking up this morning with the worst horrible eye infection. Boo!

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend xx

Ive got those happy feet

Shirt: Topshop, Trousers: Zara, Boots: Topshop

I love these boots, they make me feel very happy every time I look down on them which in this horrible grey weather is something I really need.

Is it just me or is January really dragging its feet and refusing to end?

2012 Golden Globe Awards

So it was the Golden Globe awards last night and of course all anyone (me) cares about is what people were wearing!

There were some stunning dresses on display and above are some of my very favorite. Mila Kunis obviously wore Dior after becoming the face for them and of course she looked stunning. I really like Michelle Williams Jason Wu dress and the fact that she went for a designer that isn't a major name. Zoe Deschanel was lucky enough to her her Prada gown custom made, and she looked beautiful. My boyfriend will love here even more.

Roll on awards season, I want to see more!

Every man should wear Prada

Prada certainly didn't disappoint with its Autumn/Winter 2012/13 Menswear show this weekend. Sending starts such as Jamie Bell, Williem Dafoe, Tim Roth, Adrien Brody and Gary Oldman all looking so gentlemanly in fitted suits, macs and overcoats accentuated at the waist with cumberbands. Some of my favorite looks had to be the old fashion smoking jackets in kooky prints.

Id love if all men of the world dressed like this, Prada certainly show how men these days should dress. Get rid of those horrible military boots and get smartened up!

Blue Suede (Velvet) Shoes (boots)

Dress and Top: Primark, Boots: Topshop

I love these Topshop blue velvet boots. You cant really see them in these photos (I'll take some close ups) but they are so comfy and beautiful, Ive been scared to wear them cos its been raining so much.

Well its very exciting times here.

I am currently in the process of setting up a Plaid and Lace ASOS Boutique on their Marketplace, I really think Ive got a good little collection together and ready. Been working all all the images this weekend. Hoping to go "live" as they say at the end of this month, finger and toes and everything crossed.

I have also been asked to become a Fabulette for the brilliant Modern Girls Guide Website, which I'm really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into.

Dress: Vintage, Hat: Urban Outfitters

Its been a strange old week. First off my bank call me with news that my account has had fraud activity on it so have frozen everything! Ive had to prove I am who I am and get a new bank card, which I'm still waiting for. I'm seriously stuck without it at the moment! Make me so angry that people do things like this.

Still working on images for the new online store (this dress will be available to buy soon) so that's keeping me very busy and Ive still not touched a drop of alcohol. Well done me!

Well its nearly the weekend, hope you all have a lovely one xx

Wednesday 11 January 2012

Its all for sale!

So Ive been working hard getting a lovely Vintage collection together to sell to you lovely people on line. I'm still working on putting this all together, but here is a little preview on the kind of thing to expect.

Its like my very own spring/summer 2012 preview!

Vero Moda Spring collection

Vero Moda isn't somewhere where I would usually shop, but Alexa has done what I'm guessing they wanted by bringing the name to every ones attention.

At first I wasn't sure how Alexa would fit in with their usual style of clothes but it looks like the have designed this collection with her in mind. I really like this collection and I really want that lace dress. Its definitely on my list!

I think she looks great in this campaign for them and its a really cool video, though once you watch it beware, you will not get that song out of your head.
